Meet the Field House team
Field House Care Home provides high-quality care and support for all needs and requirements including specialist Dementia care provided by our highly trained and professional Dementia care specialists. Field House was acquired by Zoe & Geoff Butcher in March 2016. Together with daughter Hannah and son Mike both in their mid 30’s, they run a number of other residential homes as a true family business. We have already carried out very significant refurbishment, modernisation and redecoration of the home and continue to do so ensure we meet the needs and aspirations of our residents and their families.
The plan for Field House is to facilitate Stuart (our Home Manager) and his team to raise the already high standard of care provided by Dementia care specialists. This will be achieved by further extending the already extensive training program, recruiting additional staff in specific roles and investing in technology to allow staff to spend maximum time with residents. Additionally, we will progressively re-decorate and re-furnish every area of the home with minimal inconvenience to our residents.
Our ethos is centred around the residents, and we see the house as their home, with us being the visitors. We try to encourage as many independent activities and as much self-sufficiency as possible. This allows our residents to remain in control and active with a good quality of life. We wish to provide unrivalled care for every individual in the house and ensure they are happy at all times. This comes hand in hand with personal, one to one assistance. At Field House, we assign a personal keyworker to each resident, allowing for consistency, routine, familiarity and the chance to build up an extra special rapport.
We see our home as a resident’s home for life, and we do everything in our power to ensure a resident never has to leave Field House – to support that, we work with GPs, District Nurses, and other specialists to provide palliative care.
Our dedicated team are loving, experienced, professional and have extensive knowledge in caring for our residents, especially those with Dementia care. We are also equipped to care for those with more complex medical conditions and disabilities. All of our staff members are NVQ qualified at levels 2, 3 and 4, so you can rest assured that your loved one is in safe hands. We always have a combination of skilled staff on duty who support and ensure that every need is catered for.
We have a uniform colour code worn by our staff which depicts their specific job role, and also allows our residents and visitors to easily recognise who they need. Navy uniform is worn by the unit leads, burgundy is for all staff who deliver medications, pale green for care staff, and lilac is worn by the domestic team.
